How About Selling Someone Else's Product? III![]() Navigation: Main page Author: Sean Ray You have to purchase a domain name for your website. Choose one that relates to your product and preferably contains one of the main keywords you will use to advertise your products. Once you have your website and domain you can design your webpages. You ideally want one page for each product. Visit the sales page of your merchant and design one that has the same sort of look and feel, but not exactly the same. You don't have to sell the product - the merchant will do that - but you should try to pre-sell it. Provide a review for example, and it helps if you have purchased the product yourself. You may not be able to do this until you have sold a few to finance your purchase, but it is ideal if sellers have themselves tried out the product they are selling. Provide a link to the merchant's sales page, and sit back and wait. Remember, one product to each page. You should also include an opt-in form on your sales page. This is so that you capture the email address and at least first name of every visitor. This allows you to build up a list of people interested in your products, and when you add a fresh product to your portfolio, you can send them an email informing them of it. It helps if you have something free to offer anybody filling in your form, such as a free ebook about your niche. You should also state that they will receive a free newsletter from you from time to time, so that you will not be spamming when you email them. The list is very important, and any good autoresponder will provide a list building facility. This is where the better web hosts are an advantage. Mine cost $25 monthly and provides me with all I need to run a website, including opt-in forms and automatic response to those who fill them in. Be sure to build a different list for each of your niches. If you are affiliating health products and toys, you will need a list for each, since people buying keep fit books will not necessarily be interested in your toys. Selling someone else's product is not difficult if you know how to do it properly. Once you have your website, products and domain name, you are all set for a great time making money online. Advertise, and let your merchant's do the rest.
